1. Clear access to your loft and roof

   Ensure the loft hatch is accessible and any items below the proposed cable route are moved. If the engineer needs roof access, confirm this before the appointment.

2. Identify where you want your TV aerial point

   Decide which rooms need an aerial connection and where on the wall you want the outlet plate. This helps the engineer plan the cable route efficiently.

3. Know your current aerial situation

   If you have an existing aerial, note where it is mounted and whether it is loft or external. If you know it was installed more than 10 years ago, mention this.

4. Check for existing cable routes

   If you already have coaxial cable in the property, note where it runs — this may be reusable, saving time and cost.

5. Arrange parking and access

   Ensure vehicle access is available for the engineer's van. For roof-mounted aerials on taller buildings, let us know in advance so we can bring the correct access equipment.
